Recipe Preparation

For this super simple recipe start we start with halving the onions and cutting very thin half rings, the thinner the rings are, the better. Alternatively use a mandolin. Put the onions in a bowl and set aside.

Grind the salt in a pestle and mortar and add to the onions mixing it in.

Leave the mix for 10 minutes and then add the lukewarm water.

After 10 minutes rinse the onions put back in the bowl and add the juice of the limes until the onions are covered.

Leave for between 20 minutes to a couple of hours before use in your taco’s salads etcetera, they are super delish!



2 red onions

1 tbsp Sea salt

2-3 Limes

150 ml. Lukewarm water
